Nova Cygni 1992 in the post-maximum period In this letter we describe spectroscopic and photometric observations ofNova Cygni 1992 made in February-April 1992 covering the post-maximumepoch. Nova Cygni 1992 can be identified as a 19.5 mag object on thePalomar Sky Atlas. Its absolute magnitude is estimated to have beenabout -7.7 mag at maximum and its distance about 1.4 kpc. The strongestemission and absorption lines have been identified and the displacementsof P Cygni-type absorption components have been measured. The lightcurve of this comparatively fast nova is also presented.
